This High Voltage Fog Is Controlled by Pointing (BiFrost Nebulagraphy)
The Nebulagraphic effect could be really useful, and so can Brilliant. Visit brilliant.org/PlasmaChannel/ for 30 days free access to Brilliant. The first 200 people will get 20% off an annual premium subscription
If a fog is electrically grounded, and you are charged to a high voltage, some pretty remarkable things occur. Pointing at it draws lines, the fog forms vortexes, and even invisible ion bridges are formed. Ultimately, this phenomenon may be a new discovery. A friend and I dug deep into the science behind this, and the answer is quite shocking.

1 thing How can this work in space if no air flow. It does not create air.. try this in a vacuum chamber and see the results.. 2nd You should had tried looking at fighter jet nozzles, they can reduce in size to increase psi air flow. You could remake this and make each stage smaller then the one before to increase air pressure, would be interesting to see what happens, maybe make the last stage variable adjustable.. im not a engineer or anything.. just average joe shmoe.

It could be a problem with the helium cooling or the superconductors, but luckily the reactor scrammed automatically.

There is a difference between youtube channels that show cool science experiments for the views and the ones that do actual science, and you perfectly encapsulated this. You have hypothesis testing, actual measurements, literature reviews and peer reviews of experts on the topic. This is the kind of content we want. Congratulations keep it going!

There's a methodological problem here, because you're measuring wind speed. But the amount of air you're accelerating isn't necessarily constant. Really you should be measuring thrust, not exhaust speed. In theory if you could accelerate more air, but more slowly, you should find you get more thrust.

i hate my physics teacher in 7th grade to this day, for killing my thoughts on mhd! a charged plastic comb could move a thin steam of water, so was sure there should be a way to turn that into a "drive", but i was told "impossible, shut up" .... great public school systems -.-

I’m by far NO engineer like yourself or ever planning to become one, but it seems every jet engine uses a method of compression at the output, nozzle reduction if you will. IE, an adjustment of the orifice to a smaller opening thereby increasing the velocity of throughput whereas your designs seem to focus on being just straight through. Perhaps shrinking the sizes of each acceleration step may produce more velocity? I don’t know, I’m just guessing here. Love your concept and what you’re doing on this channel. Just found it and science is kind of a second love of mine, please keep up the great work. No matter how big or small, every step is ALWAYS a step forward. 👍🏽

If memory serves, they are audibly quiet. But electrically noisy. The high Amp and voltage puts an electric signal in the water from the exposed conductors. A side effect of operation.

I have watched many of the episodes of your continuing evolution through ionic thrust and the various versions of your engine models. I kept wondering if you were limited to the amount of thrust you can produce based on the Amount of expanding gases coming out of the exhaust section of your engines. My question would be if you add in a vaporized fuel air mix prior to or somewhere after much like an augmenter on GE engines or an after burner on Pratt & Whitney engines that may be a great solution and still have zero moving parts. Also spacing would probably just be one portion of it. You also need to look at your angles of convergence versus which stage should be placed where within the string of stages. Try putting lightning holes into your plastic beams. It should add structural strength and lighten your model.

...but you're still attaching an engine to an existing wing. You can lose weight by using the wing itself (or a conductive skin, ultrathin, patterned for parallel lanes and adhered directly to the wings surface) and then pattern the blades (now wires, and I would suggest SPRINGS, but you would need extra mountings to prevent deformation). I hope I explained this in a way that isn't confusing...or worse, more confusing.
